The Greatest Heritage of all...a Godly one!

We are so blessed to have a Godly Christian Heritage! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa! We all love you and are so blessed to have you in our lives. Thanks for loving our little ones!

Last few days...

Look how big I am getting! I am sooo cuddly and my cheeks are so kissable! Daddy came home from Karate the other night and told mommy I smelled like pepperoni...and Mommy sheepishly said it was probably because I had been kissing his cheeks for the last 2 hours...(we had had pizza that night...:))

Funny faces...

The most wonderful relaxing visit with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa...

Mateo decided to try on Papa's Cowboy boots that look so much like his new ones...

Mateo has spent the good part of this morning sharing and showing Noah things...he is really a good older brother and he loves Noah!

Mateo's Readoption- name change and birth cert. here in Alaska now.

Dressing up for court...

What me? I'm innocent!!!

Waiting for the judge...

After the hearing the judge gave Mateo a congrats gift...

If Mateo had not already been adopted this would have been a big deal...so it seemed a little strange that they made such a big deal out of it...to us it was just an official name change and a way to make getting his birth certificate easier...now instead of having to go to his birth town in Guatemala (and having it in Spanish) now we can get one from Juneau. (wow never tried to spell Juneau before...took me a while!) But the Judge was nice and the clerk kept saying over and over that Mateo was the most well behaved child they have ever had in court! Yeah Mateo!

Misc family pictures...(keep in mind some of these are weeks old)

Noah is probably the only baby who loves tummy time...and he is the strongest baby ever!! (Sometimes burping him is looks a little like WWF...not really (I don't watch so not quite sure)but lots wiggles to go around!) Isn't he and his dimples adorable??!!

Our little genius...

Grandpa and Grandma Cross came over with dinner for a nice visit!

My Hunks! ;)

And for all of you who think my husband is serious...he really is not!

My guys...

Laughing together...

No...we do not allow this but he was so fast I wasn't even sure what he was doing until I double checked our picture...(Mateo loves to honk everyone's noses to see what kind of sound they will make...not much came out of Noah)

Our handsome, smiley dog...Oliver

Valdez Trip over Labor Day Weekend

I know I am quite behind! I have been under the weather for the last couple of weeks...and pairing that with two little ones and a lot less sleep and it has been a struggle to say the least! I am now on antibiotics and hopefully they will start working very soon!

Here is our fun, quick weekend to Valdez to visit Papa and Granny, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa, Uncle Rich and Aunt Paula... for those of you who don't know Valdez (where I went to jr and senior high school) is a 6-7 hour drive from where we live...quite the adventure with a new born and a toddler! It was beautiful and a blessing to be with family! I'll let the pictures tell the rest...

Here is "number 1" being a goof ball - he loves hats and shoes...and this weekend Aunt Paula gave him new cowboy boots and a fireman hat...so he was in his element... ("number 1 and number 2" is Daddy and I's code for when we are talking about Mateo and/or Noah infront of Mateo...This might sound strange but our son is soooo smart...he is keeping us hopping...it is only a matter of time before we will have to change our code because he has us figured out :)

Great Grandpa took Mateo (and Mommy and Daddy) out on the boat for a little trip around the harbor and sound. Mateo loves boats and he had a blast! He still has not stopped talking about it! All the fish jumping in the ocean, the 2 sea otters we watched playing/wrestling for about 10 mins (I got it on video...but that will have to be for another day), the birdies saying "aaahhhkkk", and all the other boats coming and going...and Great Grandpa even let Mateo drive the boat and honk the (nonexistent) horn ;)

While we were out on the boat Great Grandma and Granny were getting in their snuggles with Noah back at the hotel room.

Mateo loves his Great Grandma (and Great Grandpa)!!

Mateo being a big help (trying) to hold the bottle for Noah...I am not so sure Noah was very impressed with his beginning of breakfast...but he survived :)

And here are a few pictures that we took along the way home...It is a beautiful drive...and brings back a lot of memories for Daddy and Mommy (Valdez is where we first met). We just decided we were going to take our time getting home...the first few are at Blueberry Lake a campground in Thompson Pass...how would you like to camp and have this as your view (just more green than our camera took) ?

And this is the Worthington Glacier we stopped at...it has gotten a lot smaller since I was a kid...

And here we are at home the next day...Mateo is playing with his motorcycle that Aunt Paula gave him. He loves it! (yes those are monkey pjs...his favorites!)
