Back Log #3: Josh and I's quick (work) getaway in April!

Soooo...In April Josh had a two day work conference in San Fransisco. We decided we could make it a quick trip (5 days) away together for just a little bit of money (what a blessing to get to get away for the price of one night hotel and Maria's food-which was not much since Maria pretty sick on the trip). We started in San Fransico and then took an extra day and a half in Montery Bay. This was our first away trip without the boys since the boys. We really enjoyed it and the boys did great with Granny and Papaw. We will definately go back to Monterey someday with the boys! If anyone wants a place to go with your kids that is fun but not theme parkish...this would be it! They have an awsome aquarium there, you could spend all day there and still not be bored. We saw baby seals, walked a long the beachs, scenic drives, rented cruser bikes and biked along the coast (so fun!), saw real pelicans (better than Finding Nemo) :), and searched tidal pools for little cool creatures. San Fransico was fun too! Maria was very brave and explored while Josh was working and we managed to do a few of the touristy things in the evenings together.

Grace Cathedral (Amazing!) There was a boys choir practicing there and you could hear it outside.

China town!

Can you see all the seals? We took video so we could remember how loud their barking was.

The cyprus tree- California's "mascot" (I know that is not the word I am looking for, but I am really tired and that is the best that is coming to mind)

Our hotel upgraded us to a ocean side room (worth 2.5 times what we paid for it)! What a treat!!

The next two were the view from our window.
